The Beyond Borders program on “South America’s Major Nations” is hosted by Foxborough resident and world traveler Ed Sweet who has been to all 50 U.S. states, been to more than 140 countries, seen roughly 2,800 cities and flown north of 7 million miles. This photo journal program presentation will explore Ed’s travels through five of South America’s Major Nations: from the Brazilian capital city of Sao Paulo to the city of Fortaleza along Brazil’s northeast coast and its beautiful Meireles Beach; to Santiago, the capital city of Chile, to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar on Chile’s Pacific Coast, and to some of the country’s world renowned Casablanca Valley vineyards; to Bogota, Colombia, one of the highest capital cities in the world and the city of Medellin, once one of world’s most violent cities; through the cosmopolitan streets of Buenos Aires; and to Montevideo, situated on the southern coast of Uruguay. Together, these five remarkable countries span mountains, coasts, rainforests, and plans and are well known for their extraordinary blend of culture, history, and natural beauty.

Starting September 3rd, a gentle, beginner-friendly yoga class focused on improving mobility, balance, flexibility, strength and relaxation. This program will be offered for free as way to introduce you to yoga.

NEW VAN GO TRIP: THE CORVETTES DOO WOP REVUE LUNCH & THEATRE COMBO
The Norwood Theatre is offering a Lunch & Theatre combo package for a special performance of The Corvettes Doo Wop Revue, a show dedicated to preserving and performing the greatest music ever-made- the music of the 1950’s Doo Wop era. This package includes a meal of chicken, potatoes or rice, small salad, vegetable, and dessert at a local restaurant. FOXBOROUGH CRAFT FAIR VENDOR APPLICATIONS
Foxborough is excited to invite vendors to participate in the Foxborough Craft Fair on Saturday November 28th. The Craft Fair is a highlight of the town’s annual Light Uptown celebration. This beloved community event draws families and visitors from across the region to enjoy holiday festivities, shopping, and entertainment in the heart of Foxborough. The Craft Fair offers artisans, makers, and small businesses a unique opportunity to showcase their products to a lively, engaged audience during one of the town’s most festive traditions. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this special event and connect with the community while boosting your holiday sales! Applications, available at the Center, are due by November 1. LETTERS FOR OUR ELDERS: RECEIVE A HOLIDAY LETTER OF KINDNESS
The Boyden Library’s Letter for Our Elders program brings joy, connection, and holiday cheer to older adults in our community. Local teens are writing thoughtful notes of encouragement and kindness to brighten the days of seniors who may feel lonely during the holiday season. Seniors who would enjoy receiving a heartfelt letter are invited to sign up. Each letter is a simple reminder that someone is thinking of them and that they are valued and appreciated. If you would like to be a part of this program and receive some holiday cheer in the mail from local teens, give us a call at 508-543-1234 and we will sign you up.

SHEEPDOG THE MOVIE | Tuesday September 8 | 4pm | LL | FREE!
Shot on location in Western Massachusetts, SHEEPDOG is the first film that truly explores the physical and psychological repercussions of trauma. It is an uplifting original story, inspired by countless first-hand testimonials about recovery, redemption, and the journey of healing. The film's story follows a US Army combat veteran Calvin Cole who is court ordered into treatment and into the care of a VA trauma therapist in-training, and things spiral out of control when Calvin's father-in-law and retired Vietnam Veteran steps in, having been released from prison. The Foxborough Veterans Services Department will be serving walking tacos and some snacks. This event is open to the public. All are welcome. Cost: $5

This group focuses on initiating and strengthening recovery from alcohol and substance use disorder. Through mutual support, we foster hope, build resilience, and promote well-being. This is an open discussion group facilitated by the Turning Point Peer Recovery Support Center. During these meetings, group members can discuss different topics related to their recovery, life events and wellness. Members of the group are considered peers who support one another in a non-judgmental and positive way. Everything being discussed is confidential. Please join us on Fridays for the group and become part of the community.

This 6-week program is designed to learn about fascia (connective tissue in our body) and how to make it healthier. It is an integral factor in how we move. Fascial health can be influenced by stress, hydration and movement. Healthy fascia slides and glides over our muscles, bones, and internal organs. Unhealthy fascia gets sticky and makes movement difficult. This program is facilitated by Steve Avellino MFT, CES, SSF, SSN, CSCS, CET, TCS, ERS.

This 6-week program is designed to increase fascial health using rotational movements. Some students are reporting pain relief in different parts of the body using rotational movements. Reason being, we usually do not move this way during the day. Healthy fascia promotes better movement, balance, and stability. The subject of Steve Avellino’s next 6-week Thursday morning class is “Increased Reaction time.” A 20-year old and an 80-year old fall at the same speed. A 20-year old has quicker reaction time which will decrease the chance of falling. This 6-week program on Increased Reaction Time is designed to increase our upper and lower body reaction time using different training modalities. We can increase our reaction time (mind/muscle messaging) through repetition. This program is facilitated by Steve Avellino MFT, CES, SSF, SSN, CSCS, CET, TCS, ERS.

Join Kevin Richmond of Its the Music Entertainment for an exciting day of horse racing at the Center! Just like the Kentucky Derby, everyone receives a racing program that lists the races and the horses running, and you receive raffle tickets. We will watch videos of horse races from all over the country. The horses are paraded in front of the spectators, and we will choose the horse we think will win. We will then watch the race and whoever has the winning number wins additional raffle tickets. The raffle tickets are used to try to win prizes.
