A taxpayer must pay an excise tax for any calendar year he or she owns and registers a motor vehicle in Massachusetts. The excise is assessed as of January 1, or the first day of the month the vehicle is registered after January 1. The Registry of Motor Vehicles is responsible for the information reported on the excise bills that the Town mails out.

Taxpayers must pay excise in full within 30 days of the bill's issue date.

The collector's office will gladly accept payments made at Town Hall during business hours.

After hours, taxpayers may use the outside drop box.

If you use your bank's "On-Line" payments please make sure the "check" is sent directly to:

Town of Foxborough, 40 South Street, Foxborough, MA 02035. Please be sure to document the correct bill information in the memo field in order for the check to be processed correctly. It may take up to two weeks for our office to receive and post your payment.
