Community Health Nurse: Dayana Parisien
Dayana joined the Bristol Norfolk Public Health Partners (BNPHP) in June 2024. With a passion for promoting health and well-being within our community, she has embarked on this new journey to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those she serves. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Laboure College where she developed a solid foundation in clinical skills and healthcare principles. Throughout her academic journey, she was drawn to community health nursing, recognizing the profound effect that preventative care and health education can have on different populations. Within this role as a Community Health Nurse, she would love to have the privilege of working directly with individuals, families, and groups to improve their health outcomes. Her responsibilities will include conducting health assessments, providing health education, and advocating for necessary resources. Collaboration is a cornerstone of her practice. She has worked closely with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and community organizations to address the diverse needs of the population. By forming these partnerships, she can create a network of support that extends beyond individual care, addressing the social determinants of health that often influence health outcomes. This continuous learning enables her to provide evidence-based care and implement innovative strategies that meet the evolving needs of the community. By leveraging her skills and knowledge, she hopes to contribute to the creation of a more equitable and healthier society.
