RESIDENTIAL WATER METER REPLACEMENT PROJECT

In our continuing effort to improve our utility service to you, the Town of Foxborough, Department of Public Works, is replacing the water meter and meter transmitting unit (MTU) at your property and has contracted with Mass Installation, Inc. to complete these installations.

Key Details of the Project:

  • Cost: There is no cost to you for any of the work.

  • Service Interruption: Your water service will be shut down for approximately 15 minutes

  • Duration: The installation takes approximately 30-45 minutes to complete

  • Preparation: Prior to your appointment, please ensure the water meter is fully accessible by removing any items stored around it. For safety and liability reasons, MII personnel are unable to move personal belongings.

  • Scheduling Your Appointment: When you receive the notice from MII (pictured below) via USPS mail; please schedule your appointment according to the instructions.

What to Expect:

MII staff wear company uniforms, photo ID badges, and drive clearly marked vehicles. All personnel undergo background checks, drug screening, and driving history reviews, and employee locations are GPS monitored.

Customers will receive a postcard with scheduling instructions. Appointments may be scheduled online or through MII's 24-hour call center. Installers may also knock on doors while working in your neighborhood and if no one answers, MII may leave a door hanger with appointment and contact information.

Participation in the Town of Foxborough’s Water Meter Replacement Project is MANDATORY.

Your prompt response and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we work together to maintain the quality of our water infrastructure.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
