FIFA WORLD CUP 2026

In June 2026, FIFA World Cup matches will be held at Gillette Stadium (rebranded to Boston Stadium for the event) in Foxborough. This will be a major event for the region and will have a significant impact on our community.

The Town understands that this planning process has been lengthy and complex, and that match days will not feel like a typical day in Foxborough. Residents should expect heavier traffic, increased activity near the stadium and along major routes, changes to normal travel patterns, and other temporary disruptions.

Town staff have been and continue to work closely with state, regional, and federal partners to plan for transportation, public safety, infrastructure, emergency response, communications, and other community needs.

This page is intended to serve as a reliable source of official information for residents, businesses, and members of the public. Our goal is to help the community stay informed, understand what to expect, and prepare as match days get closer.

• Saturday, June 13 (9pm): Haiti vs. Scotland

• Tuesday, June 16 (6pm):  Norway vs. Playoff Winner 2 (Bolivia, Iraq, or Suriname)

• Friday, June 19 (3pm): Scotland vs. Morocco

• Tuesday, June 23 (4pm): England vs. Ghana

• Friday, June 26 (3pm): Norway vs. France

• Monday, June 29 (4:30pm): Match 74 - Round of 32 

• Thursday, July 9 (4pm): Match 97 - Quarterfinal

Transportation and Travel

Match days will not be the same as a typical Patriots game, concert, or stadium event. These events are expected to bring a large number of visitors to the area. Residents should expect heavier traffic, longer travel times, delays near the Stadium, and impacts on major roads throughout town and the surrounding region.

We know this may be frustrating and disruptive, especially for residents who are trying to get to work, school, appointments, errands, or home. Match days will not feel like a normal day in Foxborough.

The Town is working with public safety, transportation, regional, federal, and state partners to manage traffic, protect emergency access, and share information as clearly as possible. As plans are finalized, the sources below, along with this page, will be updated as needed.
